Authorities arrested a school bus driver after she was recorded on a surveillance camera drinking beer while behind the wheel. Police say 44-year-old Michelle Passley was picking up students in Aurora, Illinois, when she made a quick pit stop at a local gas station, where she purchased two cans of beer.

Passley put the beer cans in a paper bag and drove away. When the store clerk noticed Passley leaving in a yellow school bus, they called the school. The school launched an investigation and alerted the police after reviewing surveillance camera footage from the bus, which showed Passley sipping the beer while sitting behind the wheel. Officials said there were at least 32 students on the bus at the time.

Passley was taken into custody and charged with two misdemeanor counts of endangering the life/health of a child. She was fired by First Student Bus Company, which called her actions "completely unacceptable and at odds with what we stand for as a company."
