For the second year running, Chinese Defense Minister Dong Jun has given the Singapore security meeting a miss, skipping opportunities to meet U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth as well as counterparts from Australia, France, Britain, Japan and other nations.

中國國防部長董軍已連續第2年缺席這場在新加坡舉行的安全會議，錯失面見美國國防部長赫格塞斯，以及來自澳洲、法國、英國、日本，以及其他國家的國防部長的機會。

Even Hegseth took note.

就連赫格塞斯也注意到這一點。

"I wish my counterpart was here at this conference, but I look forward to other options when we can cross paths and communicate, talk about things where often actions at sea or actions in the air are perceived differently," he said during his own keynote speech on Saturday. (REUTERS)
